Statement of Recognition and Respect:
At Maplewood Presbyterian Church we are grateful for the stewardship of this land by its original inhabitants and their descendants, the Coastal Salish-speaking peoples. We realize that we still have much to learn and much to regret regarding our shared and tragic legacy of conflict, suffering, and injustice. But we also believe we share a spiritual perspective on the natural world around us, and a common desire to work cooperatively to heal our endangered earth.
